TEXAS golf provides fitness, recreation, and time outdoors while driving $14.2B TOTAL OUTPUT & $7.7B direct economic impact. 

The Texas Golf Economic Impact Report shows the Texas direct golf economy was valued at $7.7 billion, with total economic output (direct, indirect, and induced effects) reaching over $14.2 billion in 2023. Golf is among the state's leading recreational industries, supporting 107,696 jobs, generating $4.8 billion in wages, and contributing over $1.0 billion in state and local taxes.

 

TEXAS golf courses contribute approximately 150,000 acres of OPEN SPACE SUPPORTING wildlife habitat, RECREATION, and improved quality of life.

Texas golf’s green and blues spaces include turfgrass, water, wetlands, and native rough which support wildlife and pollinator habitats, cool the urban heat island, filter surface water runoff, and contribute to health and well-being.
